Fall Swap Party 3D Place Card

I’ve seen several ideas lately for hosting “swap parties.” At these gatherings, guests all bring homemade baked goods, handmade gifts, or simply their favorite things for every guest to take home. I think it would be so festive to host a fall-themed swap party, featuring all things fall – picture mini apple pies, fresh-baked sourdough bread, and homemade jam. Follow along to make this adorable market mini-bag turned place card, perfect for an autumn swap party.

Supplies:

Begin by opening the linked Cricut file containing all the place card images. Adjust the names as desired for each of your party guests. You can also change the font if you desire. Once your names are ready, cut all the images contained within the project file. All the images used for this project are available via Cricut Access.

First, crease the Materica Verdigris bag along all the score lines and tabs by gently folding and pressing. You could use a bone folder tool for this step, if desired.

Once the mini bag is folded, it comes together quite easily as you bring the two ends toward each other. Place some liquid glue where the tabs meet to secure the bag closed.

Next, assemble all the tiny fall-inspired market pieces – the pie, loaf of bread, jam jar, and apple. Using liquid glue, carefully put all the little pieces together. I think the tiny jam jar is my favorite one, especially with the Stardream Silver accent on top.

Now it’s time to fill and decorate the mini market bag. First, attach the loaf of bread to the inside of the bag using liquid glue. Make sure you only place glue on the bottom so it doesn't leak out at the top of the bag. Then layer the jam jar on top of it, also securing with liquid glue. You may need to press firmly for a few seconds to ensure it holds. The apple can then be glued in the bottom right corner of the bag.

At this point, I decided to glue the name on the place card to ensure proper alignment and room for the final image. Carefully attach the delicate writing on the front of the bag with liquid glue. Check out the incredible cut quality on the delicate, scripty font…

Last, but not least, attach the adorable apple pie to the front of the bag using liquid glue. That little pie looks good enough to eat!

Our 3D mini-bag place card is now complete! This can be filled with small treats or other party favors, or left as-is for a cute decoration. As a final touch, I folded some white tissue paper inside to enhance the shopping motif.
