Hi there y’all! Stephanie Vittorio here from Coffee Stamps Chaos! I’m very excited to be here with you today! I am loving this fall weather and cozying up at home in the evenings! How about you?
Today I have a fun Thanksgiving Card featuring GORGEOUS Cardstock Warehouse papers, ink blending, some adorable stamps, some dies and coloring using Copic Markers (or coloring media of your choice).
I hope you’re ready to get crafty!!!! Let’s get started!
For this project you will need:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Gold Stardream
- Chocolate Speckletone
- Pure White Foundations
- Fall Image Stamp + Sentiment Stamp
- Copic Markers (or other coloring media of your choice)
- Cornstalk Dies
- Sparkly Elements (sequins, gems, etc)
- Embossing powder + ink pad + heat tool
- Glue or adhesive of your choice
- Blending Brushes
- Distress Oxide ink
Steps:
- Stamp and color your main image panel
- Use distress oxide ink and blending brushes to color your background
- Die cut or tear paper (if you don’t have dies) for your grass layers - I die cut mine and then colored them using Copic Markers
- Glue the grass layers together
- Adhere the grass layers to the blended background
- Trim background layer
- Fussy cut your stamped and colored image (I used my Scan n Cut to cut mine)
- Cut one sheet of Gold Stardream paper in half to create a tall card base (cut at 4 ¼” and then scored at 5.5” and fold) and one piece to use to die cut your corn stalks (either using dies or a die cutting machine)
- Die cut Corn Stalks from Gold Stardream paper
- Create a layer from Chocolate Cardstock to go behind your image background
- Stamp and emboss sentiment (if you choose)
- Adhere Corn stalks and image to the background
- Add sparkly elements!
Now admire your beautiful handy work, show your friends and make sure to mail it to someone! I just love happy mail and love sending out handmade cards! Nothing makes my day like crafty mail from my friends!
