Hi, friends! I’m Lauren from Lauren Taylor Made and I’m back with another card-making post to share with you today. Springs brings florals and pastels, so I wanted to show you how I stamped a tone-on-tone floral card using the Pastel Dreams Cardstock Multipack!

Tone-on-tone simply means using different shades of the same color. For this card, I stamped the floral bouquet images from the stamp set with Distress Oxide inks in the coordinating colors of the Pastel Dreams Cardstock. Because I was planning to stamp lots of images, I die cut the images first and used the negative pieces to line up the die cuts to stamp my images multiple times.

Once the pieces were ready, I layered the flowers and greenery into the bouquet. I also stamped the sentiment and die cut it out along with two more layers in scrap white cardstock. I glued all three layers together to give the sentiment dimension. I also trimmed a piece of White Lessebo to 4x5.25” and used an embossing folder to give it texture.

I adhered the embossed panel to an A2 card base with a tape runner and popped up the bouquet of flowers with foam adhesive to the upper left of the card. The sentiment was adhered with liquid adhesive to the lower right of the card. For some shine, I also adhered some purple sequins around the card. I just love how this Mother’s Day card turned out - but the sentiment can be switched out for any occasion card!
