Hello, crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! I’m excited to share a fun holiday snow card project that is quick and easy to create. My love for snow definitely shows in this card! Even if you don’t love snow, you’re sure to love this cute card!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock paper:
- Lessebo Colours 100lb: White, Red Rose, Pitch Black, Flame, and Bubblegum
- Rainbow Holographic Mirror
- Kromekote Glossy White
- Colorplan 100lb: Bagdad Brown and Marrs
- “Let it Snow” Sentiment Die
- Snowman Die or SVG files
- Mini Snowflakes Die or SVG files
- Bearly Arts Liquid Precision Glue
- Distress Oxide Salty Ocean
- Blending Brush
First, using a blending brush, I applied Salty Ocean Distress Oxide to a Lessebo White panel that measures 5.25x4 inches. I then spritzed water, activating the oxide to create splatter on the background.
Next, I used a paper towel to lift the excess water and oxide from the panel. I then set aside to dry. To speed up the drying process you can apply heat with a heat tool. I love how this effect looks like chunky snowflakes!
Next, I cut the Let it Snow Die sentiment from Rainbow Holographic and Kromekote White cardstock. I then off-set the die-cuts and used liquid adhesive to adhere the layers together. This gives a shadow effect with the holographic paper.
I then used the Snowman and Mini Snowflake die sets to cut the elements from additional cardstock. If you do not have snowman and snowflake metals dies, you can use an electronic cutting machine and find similar SVG files.
I used White Diamond Print Glitter for the snowman body, Marrs for the scarf, Bubblegum for the earmuffs, Bagdad Brown for the stick arms, and Flame for the nose. I used Kromekote Glossy White for the snowflakes.
I assembled the snowman using Bearly Art glue. You can use craft tweezers to make assembling the tiny pieces easier. I positioned and adhered the elements to the panel.
Once complete, I adhered the panel to a 4.25x5.5 - A2-sized top folding card base. If you don’t want to cut your own card bases, you can order pre-cut ones from Cardstock Warehouse! They make card making SO easy!
Here is my finished card. I love how cute and fun it is, and the bright colors really pop!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and it inspires you to Make Something Beautiful®!
