Hi everyone! Natasha of @PoliteCreations, joining you for my first blog post as a member of the Cardstock Warehouse Design Team. I am so excited to be sharing a Christmas card that is sure to wow its recipient! Using jewel tone papers, this card pops and makes Christmas card giving even more fun.

- Thai Unryu Magenta
- Colorplan 100lb : Amethyst, Chartreuse, Marrs Green, Forest Green
- Stardream Gold
- Lessebo Colours 100lb Bubblegum
- Spellbinders Petite Blooms and Sentiments Die Set
- Glimmer Hot Foil System with sentiment plate
- or sentiment stamp or die of your choice

- Die Cutting Machine
- Adhesives:
- Scor-Tape Double-Sided Adhesive Roll
- Precision Liquid Glue
- Foam Squares
- Paper Trimmer
- Scissors
- Pinkfresh Champagne Dew Drops
To begin, I grabbed one sheet each of Magenta Thai Unryu and Lessebo Bubblegum cardstock. These two colors will be used to cut the poinsettia die from the die set. Each flower will need two layers, so I cut enough of each cardstock to account for this. Since the Magenta Thai Unryu is thin, I lined this with double-sided adhesive and folded the cardstock onto itself for stability.
I then proceeded to die cut the flower layers. Using Forest Green and Chartreuse, I die cut all of the foliage from the set twice. I do not use all of the foliage, but I prefer to have more than not enough. I then die cut the small flowers that layer onto one of the green pieces out in Marrs Green. Once all of that was complete, I grabbed the All-Occasion Mailbox Greetings and my Glimmer system. Using Amethyst cardstock, I hot foiled the "Please Deliver to Santa" sentiment using gold foil. Once compete, I cut the sentiment down to be about 2in x 2.75in. I then matted that onto Stardream Gold using small foam squares to pop the sentiment up. You can use any sentiment die or stamp that you have in your collection.
Now it is time to assemble the card. I began by centering my sentiment onto an A2 panel of Amethyst, however, I do not adhere it until the end. I use it as a placeholder for now. Grabbing poinsettias, I create solid combos and a mixed colorway, placing Bubblegum on top. The Thai Unryu papers are filled with so much texture and I thought they would be perfect as flower petals. I love the look that the thin paper gives even with the adhesive layered between. Once I am sure of the placement for a few of the flowers, I add greenery, ensuring that there is not too much of one color in one area. I love the Chartreuse and the pop that it gives again the Amethyst card panel, so I use more of that on this card front. I try to spread out the poinsettias as well.
When I am happy with the placement of all of the pieces, I use liquid precision glue to adhere everything into place. I only place a dot of glue in the center of each flower to allow for shaping of the petals. I do not want those to lie flat. I fill in gaps with greenery and add the Marrs Green pieces last. Once I am happy with the composition and placement of all elements, I adhere the sentiment.
For the final touch, I added medium Champagne dew drops to the flower centers. I filled in the remaining gaps with the smallest size of the dew drops. There we have my completed card. What do you think of this jewel tone beauty?
