Hi, crafty friends! Ivy here from @ivypinkmade. I wanted to make a happy decor to put up in my craft room and I was inspired by the fun colors in the Merry Go Round pack! Let’s get started.
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Sweet Tooth
- Black Licorice
- Merry-Go-Round Multi-Pack
- White Diamond Print Glitter
- Scissors
- Cricut Maker
- Crafty Foam tape
- Wooden Rounds
- Adhesive Runner
- Chalk Paints
- Foam Brush
The first step is to paint the wooden round with shades of blue for an ombre effect.
I like using chalk paint because it dries quickly but it's easy to mix the colors and get an ombre effect. I also like the matte finish.
I used this rainbow SVG from Naty Art Design and mix and matched some pieces to make the exact rainbow I wanted. I used my Cricut Maker to cut these pieces using the Merry-Go-Round multi-pack.
I then cut a banner image using Diamond Print White and Black Licorice on top of Sweet Tooth White to get a nice layered look. I also cut the BE KIND words using the Merry-Go-Round multi-pack and the Magic Dreams font.
Now we just need to assemble all the pieces on to the wooden round! I used a variety of foam tapes to adhere the different rainbow layers.
Next, I adhered the white glitter and black pieces to the white banner using my adhesive runner and attached the letters to the banner using foam tape.
Once you have those attached, you can attach your banner to the wood using foam tape.
I found these fun rainbow wooden beads at my local craft store and they match the Merry-Go-Round colors so well. If you want the beads to be more permanent, I would hot glue it onto the wooden round.
Now you are ready to proudly display your work on a wall or shelf. Just look at all those lovely rainbow colors!!
