Squeeze the day with this fun lemon-themed card!
Hello, friends! Mirisha here, sharing another fun card project with you. Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to take lemons and turn them into something sweet, like a cheerful handmade card! 🍋✨
Materials Used:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock paper:
- Tools:
- Squeeze the Day Stamp Set
- Geometric Cover Plate Die
- Lemon Die
- Oval Die
- Distress Oxide Mustard Seed
- Blending Brush
- Gold Half-Pearl Embellishments
- Bearly Art® Liquid Adhesive
Step 1: Die Cut the Elements
I started by die cutting all the components needed for my project, including the lemons, leaves, and sentiment panel. You can find the papers I used in the list above. I love how well all these bright colors go together! I decided to use the same colors for both layers of my background.
Step 2: Add Dimension to the Lemons
Using a blending brush, I applied Mustard Seed Distress Oxide to the lemon die cuts, adding depth and definition for a more realistic look.

Step 3: Stamp the Sentiment
Next, I stamped the sentiment onto an oval die cut, keeping the design simple yet elegant. Stamping a sentiment on a geometric shape and adding die cut pieces on top of or around it is a great way to frame and anchor your smaller pieces on a card.
Step 4: Assemble the Card
I adhered the background panel die cut to an A2 Marrs Green 100 lb. card base, creating a sturdy foundation for the design. Then, I positioned all the die-cut elements and used liquid adhesive to secure them in place.
Step 5: Finishing Touches
For a final touch, I added a few gold half-pearl embellishments to enhance the design with a touch of shine. You could also use sequins, enamel dots, rhinestones, or any other small embellishments you have on hand.

And that’s it! I love the way the lemons pop on the bold Marrs Green background. I hope this project inspires you to create something bright and beautiful this season.
