Old Fashioned Bells Christmas Card

Hi crafty friends, it’s Joy here and I have a pretty Christmas card for you today. This card has a bit of an old fashioned feel to me. I think it’s the color combination and the choice of die cuts and embossing folder. I hope you enjoy!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
    • Azzurro Woodstock 105lb
    • White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter 104lb
    • Silver Mirror 100lb
    • Natural Colorplan 65lb
  • Holiday Bells die
  • Snowflake embossing folder
  • Die cutting machine
  • Bearly Art glue
  • Foam tape

I started by embossing the background with the Snowflakes 3D embossing folder on Natural cardstock. I liked this for the background because it’s not stark white, it has an off white color perfect for an old fashioned card design.

I die cut the bells from Silver Mirror and Azzurro cardstocks. The cute little bow is die cut from White Diamond Glitter. I adhered all the pieces for two bells and one bow.

I trimmed down the embossed piece slightly smaller than an A2 card. Then I glued the two bells together and added foam tape behind them for dimension. I attached the bow to the top. I stamped the small stamped sentiment with metallic silver ink on the Natural cardstock. I also added foam tape behind the sentiment.

I finished the card by adding an Azzurro mat behind the card then attached that to an A2 card base.

I just love how this turned out!
