Hey there, crafty friends! Fall is just around the corner and all of those beautiful yellows, oranges, reds, and greens can give you all of the feels. I wanted to keep this card light and not heavy, so I have a lot of white in the design on this mini slimline card. I hope you enjoy it, let’s get started.
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Autumn Multi-pack (Wild Cherry, Tangy Orange, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, and Gumdrop Green)
- Bright White
- Leaf/Greenery Die
- Sentiment Die
- Studio Katia: Gold Fever Confetti
- Die-Cutting Machine
- Zip Dry Liquid Glue
I die cut all of the leaves from the Autumn Collection using my greenery die. I chose Lemon Drop, Orange Fizz, Tangy Orange, and Wild Cherry. My original idea was to glue all of the leaves together in a stack (right), but once I starting putting this card together, I decided not to glue them (left). Also, I ended up not using the smaller leaves. As I'm sure you know, craft projects often evolve as you work on them!
I die cut the sentiment from the greens in the Autumn Collection. (Sour Apple and Gumdrop.) I die cut the sentiment three times and the shadow twice. I glued all of the sentiment pieces together for dimension using Zip Dry Glue.
You can see what the sentiment looks like when it is adhered to the shadow die.
From Bright White card stock, I die cut the smaller leaves from the greenery die.
I trimmed down a piece of Bright White cardstock to 6” x 3” and used liquid glue to adhere all of the white die-cut leaves. I glued them starting in the center and working my out and let some of them hang off the edges. I trimmed off any overhang.
I made a mini slimline card base from Bright White Cardstock (6 ½” x 3 ½”), then trimmed a piece of Gumdrop Green card stock to 3 ¼” x 6 ¼” and matted that behind the white piece and adhered that to the card base.
I adhered the leaves and die-cut sentiment to the left side of the card, leaving white space on the right.
I added a second stamped sentiment that I gold heat embossed and then finished the card with a few Gold Fever Confetti pieces.
I love how this turned out and can't wait to send it to someone special. In the photo below, I paired it with a Stardream Gold envelope. A mini slimline card (6.5"x3.5") will fit in an A7 envelope.
I hope you enjoyed this project, Have a wonderful day!
