Hi everyone! Spring is officially here and with it comes Easter. I love the Pretty in Pastels Collection pack for both! For this layout I chose to cut some small flowers in the pastels for a beautiful embellishment on my layout. I paired it with a paper that I’ve never used before, China Colorplan. It is a gorgeous cream that worked perfectly.

To start, I cut my egg cut file on some True White Speckletone paper. This is a great off-white paper that has some speckles like recycled paper. It’s a perfect combination to use when you are using cream based papers or products. If you do not have a cutting machine you could easily freehand or trace an oval shape for the egg. I added a little scallop border to the bottom right of the paper I was cutting for an added detail. I also cut some of the little flowers out of the pastels. This is easily done with scissors or a punch as well.
The cut file I used had a floral detail that I wanted to back but didn’t feel like using different papers for it. So I brought out some White Diamond Print Glitter paper and used a white gel pen to trace the shapes. Then I colored each piece using my alcohol markers. Using the white gel pen to trace made it so that I could see where to color but it is almost impossible to see the lines after coloring. The Diamond paper really takes the color from the markers beautifully.
Then I backed my egg. For this, I used the China White Colorplan paper. I love the combination. I backed my layout with a pattern paper border that added more yellow to the layout.
I used my sewing machine and stitched around the egg using some light yellow thread. I added my photo and then started adding some of the small flowers to the layout. I did 5 clusters and added some of them to the floral part of the cut file. I added my title and some sequins to finish the layout.
