Hi, Crafty Friends! I hope your week is going great! Fall is coming soon and I love all of the changing leaves on the mountain by our house, so they inspired this card. They turn, red, yellow, and orange, and it is just stunning. I thought I would make this Thankful card with “falling” leaves. I hope you enjoy this project and feel inspired.
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Ebony Black
- Bright White
- Gold Mirror
- Autumn Multi-Pack
- Sentiment Die
- Assorted Leaf Dies
- Distress Ink
- Gold Metallic Watercolor
- Die Cutting Machine
- Paper Trimmer
- Tape Runner
- Black Glaze Pen
- White Gel Pen
- Black Ink
I die cut the leaves out of the Autumn Multi-Pack using red, orange, yellow and dark green. I cut the slimline panel that measures 8 ½ x 3 ½, out of Bright White cardstock.
I inked the slimline panel with Ground Espresso fading out towards the bottom of the card. I added Walnut Stain to the top of the card to darken it. I splattered the card with gold metallic watercolor paint. I then added dots with a black and white pen.
I adhered the leaves with a tape runner and foam tape, starting at the top and going down to give the illusion that they are falling. I also die cut the “thankful” sentiment out of Ebony and Mirror Gold cardstock and glued those together.
I glued down the “thankful” sentiment and stamped the other sentiment in black ink. I added that to a slimline card base.
And there you have it! Such an easy card with a big impact!
I hope you feel inspired by this project!
