Fall Foliage HOME Banner

Fall Foliage HOME Banner

Fall is my favorite time of year…the leaves changing color, the cooler temperatures, and all the beautiful fall-inspired décor. Follow along to learn how to make this simple home décor banner, featuring several gorgeous fall shades of Cardstock Warehouse paper. This project is super easy but will make a big visual impact!

Supplies:

Begin by cutting all the pieces from the linked Cricut file, including the banner pennants, letters, and foliage details. You could customize this banner further with your family’s name or another fall-inspired sentiment. If you don’t have a Cricut, you can search your machine’s software for similar images, or create your own!

Next, layer together the pennant pieces using tape runner, Scor-tape, or liquid glue. You could also put these together with foam tape if you wanted to add some dimension to the layers. I just love this pennant shape! It is so elegant and beautiful.

Then, glue together the H O M E letter pieces. Simply layer the smaller letter on top of its offset mat later with liquid glue. I then added foam tape to the back of the letters and attached them in the center of each of the pennants.

Now you can complete each of the pennants with the leaves and other die cut accessories. Layer the details as desired to create a natural, rustic look. I sporadically used foam squares on the backs of the die cuts to create some more dimension. You could also add gems, flat-back pearls, or other embellishments to your pennants if you like.

After gluing together all the banner pieces, it’s time to add some ribbon. I chose to lay out the banner vertically, almost like a hanging sign, but you can do yours horizontally if that works better for your space. Secure each pennant to the ribbon using a hot glue gun. I like how this hides the ribbon in the back without having to punch holes in the pennants. It also keeps them secured and evenly spaced so your banner always looks super professional!

And with that, your fall foliage banner is finished and ready to bring the autumn vibes to your home! Style it with some faux pumpkins, candles, and garland to get the complete fall effect. Now bring on the apple cider, chilly weather, hay rides, and cheesy movies!
