Hi everyone, this is Joy with Create It With Joy. I hope you are having a wonderful day! This project is so super easy and so fun to make. I made some party props, a banner and a card. I used one die set and some beautiful Pop-Tone Cardstock. This project would be great for a birthday party (which is what I made these for), a baby shower (just change the colors) or a gender reveal party. Let’s get started.
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers:
- Merry-Go-Round Pop-Tone Multi-Pack
- Brown Box Kraft
- White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter
- Banana Split
- White embossing powder
- Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Stamp
- Honeybee Stamps embellishments
- Spiegelmom Scraps: Gold Stardust
- Die-cut Machine
- Cupcake Die
- Craft Knife
- Jute
- Liquid Glue
- Heat Gun
- Sucker Sticks
I die cut the cupcake wrapper images from the Brown Box Kraft cardstock. I love the look of the brown paper cupcake holders. I think it is so pretty and I wanted that kraft look for these cupcakes. For the frosting of the cupcakes, I die cut those images using 7 colors out of the Merry-Go-Round paper pack. For the candle images, I used Banana Split for the flame and White Diamond Inkjet Glitter for the candlestick.
The cupcake assembly is so very easy. I used liquid glue and adhered the frosting to the cupcake holder. I then used a craft knife and cut a small slit in the frosting, so I could insert the candle. Once inserted, I added a little glue behind it and adhered the flame to the candlestick.
For the cupcake props, I used sucker sticks. On the back of the cupcake use a little bit of liquid glue and place the stick on it and let it dry for minute. Then cut a strip of Kraft cardstock and add some glue on both sides of the stick (on the cardstock) and adhere that tightly to the stick and cupcake.
I stamped some sentiments onto the cupcakes and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I used three different sentiments for the three projects. I tied some jute into a bow on the cupcake props. I used jute for the banner, I just used some liquid glue and adhered the cupcakes to the jute. I made a birthday card but, It could be an invitation as well. I used one cupcake and glued that to an A2 size card base. I added different sprinkles to all the cupcakes, some chocolate sprinkles, some clay hearts, gold stars, and large glitter pieces.
I hope you enjoyed this project, I had a ton of fun making it!
