This is by far my favorite season. There is just something about the crisp air, the leaves falling, cozy sweaters, and of course the start to the holidays. But also, PUMPKIN SPICE SEASON!
Today, follow along as I show you how to make the perfect Pumpkin Spice shaker card- perfect for those coffee lovers- just add a gift card inside!
Here is what you will need:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
- Bronze Stardream Metallic 105lb
- Lockwood Green Colorplan 100lb
- Verdigris Materica 92lb
- Comoscio Woodstock 105lb
- Terra Rossa Materica 92lb
- White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter
- Bright White Colorplan 100lb
- Natural Pergamenata Parchment 59lb
- Cutting Machine or Die Cuts
- Acetate Sheets
- Foam Tape
- Craft Tape
- Glitter
- Paper Cutter
- 5” x 7” card with envelope
To begin, open the shared project page on Design Space. If you don’t use Design Space, you can use other images and die cuts to create this card.
Next, choose the colors you want for each image. Note that the coffee cup has multiple layers because that will be the shaker part of the card, but the layers should be the same color.
I used Lockwood Green for the straw, Bright White for the coffee cup, Comoscio for the inside of the coffee cup (this also has a sentiment on it), Diamond Print for the ice cubes, Terra Rossa for Pumpkins, and lastly, Verdigris, Bronze, Terra Rossa and Pergamenanta for the background.
Let’s assemble the coffee cup first. Take the solid cup and one of the sliced cup and adhere them together using craft tape. Then cut mounting tape the same width as the edge of the sliced cup and adhere it along all the edges. Next add glitter and the ice cubes to the inside of the cup. Now, cut acetate paper and using your craft tape, adhere it to the inside of the other sliced cup (you should have cut two total).
Next, cut thin strips of Verdigris, Bronze and Pergamenanta using scissors or a paper cutter. Adhere these in a pattern to your card base and cut the extra length around the card.
Lastly, secure your shaker coffee cup to the card base using mounting tape and add the pumpkins along the bottom of the cup.
Last minute, I decided to add some leaves. I used Comoscio and Lockwood for those.
And there you have! A fun Pumpkin Spice Shaker Card.
